  • Mentioned on the morning show an event that touched my heart and made me proud to be an American, and judging by the calls and e-mails we received, you're proud, too. Let me recap: Having dinner in Davie at a great restaurant called Mazzola's, and noticed a soldier having dinner with what looked to be his wife and daughter. During our meal a man next to us was getting up to leave and asked the waitress over..I overheard the man tell her "That soldier there? Tonite he doesn't pay for dinner. I've got it". I stopped the man and congratulated him for his Patriotism and his generosity and I asked him if he had served in the Military. He said he no, he hadn't. He said "I just wanted to say Thank You". Heroes. They're all around us.
